About Us

American Mensa started here in New York City in 1960. While there are currently 134 local groups throughout the country, ours was the first. And remains the best (but don't tell the others).

We'd love to have you as a member!

The requirement to join is to score in the top two percent on certain tests indicating intelligence. A wide variety of these tests are accepted.
